Perhaps it comes as a surprise, but not all dentists are able offer Invisalign as an orthodontic treatment. The reason for this is because special training is required in order to be able to offer Invisalign. Our
Invisalign dentist in Torrance advises that if you want to become qualified to offer Invisalign, these are the steps you will need to take.
The first step in qualifying as an Invisalign dentist is to register for the Invisalign provider course. You can register for the provider course either by doing it on their website or by calling their toll free number.
The next step, naturally, is actually attending the course. During the course, you will learn how to take the X-rays, photos, and impressions of each patient that you will need to send to Invisalign when developing their individual treatment plan. Invisalign will use these detailed records to make a 3-D model of the mouth of the patient you are treating. You will then use this 3-D model to plan out their treatment plan, and thus design the set of aligners that your patient will be using. After you attend the class, Invisalign will send you a Getting Started Kit so you will have all the tools necessary to start treating your patients with Invisalign as soon as possible.
